Use of K-P government machinery for PTI rally raises concerns

Pakistan: A issue about the usage of public resources has arisen in relation to the use of government-owned machinery and trucks for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Islamabad. Videos of Rescue 1122’s more than 40 operational vehicles, including fire engines and ambulances, being sent to Islamabad have surfaced. The vehicles arrive in Swabi.

Cranes, excavators, and disaster response vehicles have also been sought for possible use at the rally, in addition to the ambulances and fire trucks, especially to remove blocked highways.

Convoys headed to the event are accompanied by workers and vehicles, according to rescue officials.

According to Rescue 1122 officials, the resources are being used for emergency services.
The officials stated that all of the staff and cars have been sent out to tackle any issues that may occur during the demonstration, and they added that the staff members are carrying out their assigned responsibilities by making sure everyone is safe and offering emergency assistance.

The deployment has sparked debate on the use of public funds for political gatherings, despite officials’ insistence that their main objective is to keep the people safe.

One day after President Zardari signed the new Public Order and Peaceful Assembly Bill 2024 into law, the PTI is preparing for a big rally in Islamabad today.

PTI leaders are wrapping their preparations at the Sangjani Cattle Market location despite the new laws.

Major roadways between Rawalpindi and Islamabad were blocked by barriers and containers by the government ahead of the PTI’s Sangjani demonstration. There are major delays as a result of the closure of important highways like the Faizabad link, GT Road, and Old Airport Road.

The construction of plans A, B, and C was earlier stated by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa administration in an effort to guarantee the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) demonstration in Islamabad on Sunday is a success. According to PTI leaders, no one will be able to request that the gathering be cancelled or rescheduled.

By Saturday night, ambulances, cranes, and bulldozers were being moved to Swabi. Every PTI member in the national and provincial assemblies is expected to recruit between one and two thousand followers and carry out the strategies decided upon by the party hierarchy.

It was said that the K-P Chief Minister was personally in charge of the arrangements.
