In a recent interview with Billboard, Paris Hilton expressed her desire to work with Charli xcx. The chat occurred before to the release of Hilton’s second album, Infinite Icon, which signifies her comeback to music eighteen years after her 2006 breakthrough album Paris. The album contained her successful single “Stars Are Blind.”

Hilton proudly declared, “I’m the original brat,” citing Charli xcx’s Brat Summer as inspiration for a possible partnership.

“Every time I’ve spoken with [Charli], she’s like, ‘You’ve always been such an inspiration to my music,'” she continued. Therefore, I just think that recording a song together makes perfect sense.”

Hilton also discussed her work during the interview, noting that she likes to see other people take her lead when creating their own brands and companies.

“Performing all over the world at music festivals for thousands of people… I wanted to bring that same energy into the album,” she said, attributing her inspiration to her time spent as a DJ.

In a similar vein, Charli xcx used a number of DJ sets and live appearances to promote her Brat album. Among these was a noteworthy Glastonbury 2024 appearance alongside Robyn and The xx’s Romy.

Even though Brat Summer was a huge hit, Charli just bid adieu to the fad.
