Recently, actor Armeena Khan shared a terrifying experience on Instagram, revealing that she and her family narrowly escaped a serious accident. “We just nearly died. A truck hit our little car. I’ve lived to tell the tale. We are not hurt, thank God,” she wrote, admitting that the incident had left her shaken.
Armeena also posted a photo of her damaged car, which showed severe side damage. “The truck hit on Amelie’s side too,” she added, mentioning her toddler’s near miss with serious injury. “I said a prayer for protection, hence we are alive right now.”
Fans quickly flooded the comments with supportive messages and prayers. “I’m so glad they’re safe. It’s all thanks to Allah. May He protect us all. Ameen,” one follower wrote. In response to the overwhelming support, the Bin Roye actor shared an update, thanking fans for their messages. “We are all okay. I don’t know how, but we are,” she expressed, acknowledging the miracle that kept her family safe. Still processing the shock, she reassured her followers and requested continued prayers.
Armeena’s incident highlights a broader issue of road safety in Pakistan. This follows recent tragic incidents like the Karsaz case, where Imran Arif and his daughter Amna lost their lives, sparking national outcry due to a lack of accountability for the responsible elite.
Shortly after, actor Angeline Malik also endured a disturbing encounter. Following a minor accident due to an unforeseen vehicle malfunction, an angry mob surrounded Malik, confiscating her phone, as seen in viral footage. Despite her efforts to assure the crowd she’d take responsibility, the situation escalated until authorities intervened. Malik later described the ordeal as frightening, noting the crowd was more hostile towards her than concerned for the affected rickshaw driver.
These incidents raise questions about public responses to accidents and the justice system’s role. While public anger, particularly following cases denied justice, is understandable, aggressive reactions can sometimes be counterproductive. Intentional negligence on the roads can be fatal, as seen in Imran and Amna’s tragic case, and could have easily endangered Armeena and her family. A focused effort on road safety and accountability is crucial to prevent further tragedies.
