Bollywood Icons Unite to Celebrate Raj Kapoor’s Legacy
Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt recently graced the Raj Kapoor Film Festival, held in honor of the legendary filmmaker’s 100th birth anniversary. Hosted by PVR INOX Limited and the Film Heritage Foundation, this grand event celebrated the cinematic legacy of Raj Kapoor, showcasing his most iconic works, including Awaara, Shree 420, and Mera Naam Joker. Spanning 40 cities across India, the festival brought together Bollywood’s biggest names to pay homage to the “Showman of Indian Cinema.”
During the festival’s opening ceremony, a viral video captured Alia Bhatt appearing visibly stressed, likely due to the enormity of hosting such a prestigious event. However, her sister-in-law, Kareena Kapoor Khan, stepped in with poise and empathy. The clip shows Kareena approaching Alia with calm reassurance, offering her support and easing her apparent tension.
The touching moment not only highlighted their familial bond but also struck a chord with fans, many of whom praised Kareena for her thoughtful gesture.
Alia Bhatt exuded elegance at the event, wearing an exquisite ivory saree, a tribute to Bollywood icon Nargis. She posed graciously for photos alongside her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, who paid homage to his grandfather, Raj Kapoor, by wearing a traditional bandhgala. The couple was joined by friends and family, including Alia’s close friend, Akansha Ranjan, making it a star-studded affair.
Professionally, Alia Bhatt remains as busy as ever. She is currently filming Alpha, a part of YRF’s spy universe, where she stars opposite Sharvari. Additionally, she is working on Love & War, directed by the renowned Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This much-anticipated project features Alia alongside her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, and the talented Vicky Kaushal.
The Raj Kapoor Film Festival served as a beautiful celebration of Indian cinema’s rich legacy while showcasing the camaraderie and grace of Bollywood’s current generation.
