Commemorating Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah: A Day of National Pride

Pakistan marked the 148th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with great fervor and enthusiasm. This day stands as a reminder of the unwavering dedication and visionary leadership of the Father of the Nation, whose principles of Unity, Faith, and Discipline continue to inspire generations.

The day began with prayers for national unity and prosperity, accompanied by a ceremonial 21-gun salute in all provincial capitals. The national flag fluttered proudly atop government and private buildings across Pakistan, symbolizing the spirit of independence and solidarity.

Special Ceremonies at Mazar-e-Quaid

In Karachi, the focal point of the celebrations was the change of guard ceremony at Mazar-e-Quaid, the resting place of Quaid-e-Azam. A contingent from the Pakistan Military Academy Kakul took over the guard duties in a solemn and formal parade. Major General Iftakhar Hassan Chowdhry, Commandant of the academy, served as the chief guest, laying a floral wreath and offering prayers for the nation’s progress.

Nationwide Celebrations

Across the country, seminars, debates, and cultural exhibitions highlighted Jinnah’s contributions and his vision for a prosperous Pakistan. Educational institutions organized contests centered on his core principles of unity, faith, and discipline, ensuring the youth remains inspired by his legacy.

State-run media played an integral role in spreading awareness, broadcasting documentaries and special programs dedicated to Jinnah’s life and achievements. Newspapers also joined in the commemoration with detailed features and supplements exploring the Father of the Nation’s enduring impact.

Tributes from Leadership and Armed Forces

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid homage to Quaid-e-Azam, emphasizing his extraordinary vision and resilience that led to the creation of Pakistan. He reiterated Jinnah’s dream of a nation where equality, justice, and freedom would prevail. President Asif Ali Zardari also called for upholding Jinnah’s values of social justice, economic equity, and education to build a peaceful and harmonious Pakistan.

The armed forces, through a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), pledged their unwavering commitment to the ideals of Unity, Faith, and Discipline, acknowledging Jinnah’s monumental efforts in uniting the nation.
