Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has taken a monumental step towards uplifting the province’s youth with the launch of an ambitious loan program. Designed to foster entrepreneurship and generate employment, this initiative offers loans of up to Rs. 30 million to help young individuals turn their dreams into reality.
At a recent event in Islamabad, the Chief Minister reiterated the Punjab government’s unwavering commitment to empowering the younger generation. She highlighted that this loan program is part of a broader strategy aimed at creating sustainable economic opportunities for the youth.
In addition to this groundbreaking initiative, the Punjab government is expanding its Talented Scholarship Program, which awarded 30,000 scholarships this year. Remarkably, next year, the number will increase to 50,000, and for the first time, private university students will be eligible. This bold move is especially impactful for female students, who received 60% of the scholarships this year.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also shared exciting plans for the province’s future, including:
- An upcoming laptop distribution scheme.
- Collaboration with Chinese companies to introduce electric bikes in Punjab, with 100,000 bikes set to be distributed to the youth next year.
