Renowned Pakistani actress Hania Amir has taken to Instagram to address the unexpected and abrupt end of her meet-and-greet event in Dallas, USA. The incident, which left fans disappointed and confused, involved an altercation backstage that led to the event being cut short.
Hania, beloved for her roles in Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum and Ishqiya, revealed the details of what transpired through an Instagram story. The actress accused one of the event’s organizers of verbally abusing her female manager, Maida Azmat. Hania intervened when she witnessed the incident but was met with aggression from the organizer.
The Backstage Confrontation
Hania explained that the event was proceeding smoothly until a shocking confrontation occurred. “Everyone saw videos of me walking to the crowd and taking pictures, and everything was fine. But when I was heading back to my seat, I heard one of the organizers verbally abusing my manager,” she shared.
In her account, Hania described how she approached the organizer to defend her manager, only to face further hostility. Security had to step in to de-escalate the situation, but the tension escalated further when the organizer chased Hania and her co-stars, including Fahad Mustafa, backstage.
To avoid further conflict, promoter Arif Khan quickly ushered the team out of the venue, ensuring their safety.
Standing Against Disrespect
Hania emphasized her stance against disrespect, especially towards women in professional settings. “Just because we women are in male-dominated fields doesn’t mean you can get away with anything,” she asserted, adding that she would always stand up for herself and her team.
The actress also called out media outlets for spreading misinformation and making assumptions without proper context. “Journalism should have integrity, and blaming an artist without knowing the truth is irresponsible,” she stated.
Apologies to Fans
Hania ended her statement with an apology to her fans for the abrupt conclusion of the event. “I dearly love every single one of you. I’m sorry things had to end this way, but sometimes we have to get through the bad days,” she said.
The incident has sparked widespread support for Hania from fans and industry colleagues. Fellow actors Yashma Gill, Maya Ali, and filmmaker Nabeel Qureshi expressed their solidarity, condemning the behavior of the event organizer.
While Hania’s Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum co-star Fahad Mustafa has yet to comment on the matter, the incident has highlighted the importance of maintaining professionalism and respect in all industries.
