Pakistan Railways Achieves Record Revenue Growth in First Half of 2024-25

Pakistan Railways has marked a significant milestone by achieving a revenue of Rs46 billion in the first half (July-December) of the fiscal year 2024-25. This represents an impressive Rs5 billion increase compared to the same period last year.

According to official figures:

  • Passenger trains contributed Rs24 billion.
  • Freight services added Rs16 billion.
  • An additional Rs6 billion came from land leases, coaching, and other sources.

This remarkable growth is attributed to the visionary policies of Pakistan Railways under the leadership of CEO Aamir Ali Baloch. Speaking on the achievement, Baloch highlighted the institution’s positive trajectory and expressed optimism about the transformative potential of 2025 for the organization.

He also revealed exciting news: “We are on track to fulfill our promise of launching a new train service for Karachi by March.”

This progress reflects not only the institution’s commitment to modernization but also its focus on delivering enhanced services to its customers.
