The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced a significant opportunity for low-income workers to perform Hajj under the Labour Quota for 2025. This initiative, reported by Dunya News, sets aside 300 seats exclusively for laborers and employees in grades 1 to 9, including industrial workers and miners.

Eligibility for the Labour Quota

The Labour Quota is designed to facilitate low-income workers by offering them a chance to fulfill this sacred pilgrimage. Organizations nominating employees must be registered with the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) or the Workers’ Welfare Fund.

Eligible employees include:

  • Labourers
  • Industrial workers
  • Miners

  1. Quota Size: 300 seats have been reserved.
  2. Cost Coverage: The cost of Hajj will be covered by the nominating organizations as part of their corporate social responsibility.

  4. Application Process:
    • Institutions under other departments or organizations should submit nominations through their respective ministries.
    • In case of excess applications, a ballot will decide the allocation.
