The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan has strongly condemned recent comments by the Indian Army Chief labeling Pakistan as an “epicenter of terrorism.” The ISPR dismissed these allegations as baseless and accused India of deflecting attention from its oppressive actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
In a pointed statement, the ISPR accused India of using such claims to mask its state-sponsored human rights violations in IIOJK, where Indian forces have faced global criticism for brutality against unarmed civilians. The ISPR also called attention to India’s systematic oppression of minorities, including hate-driven campaigns that promote violence against Muslims and other vulnerable communities.
Additionally, Pakistan highlighted a recent incident involving a serving Indian military officer allegedly caught orchestrating terrorist activities in Pakistan, an event reportedly ignored by Indian leadership.
The ISPR urged India to adopt professionalism and refrain from pursuing politically motivated agendas under the guise of counterterrorism. Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to upholding peace and defending its sovereignty.
Counterterrorism Success in North Waziristan
On a related note, Pakistan’s security forces successfully eliminated four terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan. The overnight operation targeted a hideout in the Spinwam area, recovering weapons and ammunition while neutralizing key threats.
This operation underscores Pakistan’s resolve to uproot terrorism and ensure lasting peace. The ISPR stated, “Pakistan’s security forces remain steadfast in their commitment to eradicating the menace of terrorism and maintaining stability across the region.”
