Indian Drone Attack Near Lahore Injures Four Soldiers – DG ISPR Reports Ongoing Aggression

In a deeply concerning development, four Pakistan Army personnel were injured in an Indian drone attack near Lahore, according to an official statement by DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry. This aggression marks a dangerous escalation in the ongoing hostilities between Pakistan and India, further fueling instability in an already sensitive region.

Escalating Tensions on the Line of Control

The situation along the Line of Control (LoC) has become increasingly volatile. A day before the drone incident, Pakistan mourned the deaths of 31 innocent civilians, victims of aggressive Indian strikes. These acts have been widely condemned as state-sponsored terrorism and blatant ceasefire violations by New Delhi.

Pakistan’s military response, described as a defensive countermeasure, resulted in the downing of five Indian fighter jets—a claim partially corroborated by Indian officials who confirmed the crash of at least three of their aircraft.

Harop Drones Shot Down Across Pakistan

During a press conference, DG ISPR Lt Gen Chaudhry revealed that Pakistan’s air defense systems successfully neutralized 12 Harop drones at multiple strategic locations. The list includes Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Chakwal, Miano, Attock, Chhor, and areas near Karachi. Visual evidence of the downed drones and debris was shown to journalists, affirming Pakistan’s readiness and vigilance.

However, not all threats were completely intercepted. One drone partially engaged a military target near Lahore, causing injuries to four army personnel and damaging equipment.

Civilian Casualties and Continued Provocations

The drone aggression also had civilian consequences. One civilian was martyred, and another sustained injuries in Miano, Sindh. These ongoing attacks underscore a deliberate escalation by India, according to the ISPR chief.

“This is not a mere tactical maneuver. It is a serious provocation aimed at destabilizing the region,” emphasized DG Chaudhry.

India’s Aggression Condemned

According to Lt Gen Chaudhry, India’s heightened aggression appears to be a reaction to its failure during the May 6-7 military offensive, which targeted civilian infrastructure, including places of worship. These actions, he noted, resulted in the deaths of children, women, and the elderly, further highlighting the disproportionate and inhumane nature of the attacks.

“Having suffered losses of five aircraft, several drones, and facing resistance along the LoC, India is now treading a highly irrational path,” he said. “This conduct is exposing India’s true intentions before the international community, putting regional peace and stability at grave risk.”

Pakistan’s Armed Forces Remain on High Alert

Despite the aggression, Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully alert and capable of defending the country. DG ISPR reiterated that the military is actively tracking and neutralizing threats in real time, ensuring that the sovereignty of Pakistan is preserved at all costs.

The situation remains dynamic, with the possibility of further drone incursions still high. The Pakistani military is calling for global attention to India’s aggressive behavior and urging a diplomatic resolution to avoid broader conflict in the South Asian region.
