PM Shehbaz Sharif Vows Retaliation Against India for Airstrikes – Every Drop of Martyrs’ Blood Will Be Avenged

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued a resounding warning to India following its unprovoked missile and drone attacks across Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. In a bold televised address to the nation, the premier declared that “every drop of the martyrs’ blood will be avenged”, promising swift and calculated retaliation for the lives lost in the latest Indian military aggression.

🛡️ Indian Aggression: What Happened on May 6–7?

Late on the night of May 6, India launched a coordinated assault involving missile, air, and drone strikes across key Pakistani territories, including densely populated civilian areas. The strikes, which Pakistan termed unprovoked and in violation of international norms, led to significant civilian casualties and infrastructure damage.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), at least 31 civilians were martyred, and over 70 were injured, including a young child whose funeral the Prime Minister personally attended. The loss of innocent lives has not only angered the public but prompted the government to authorize a full military response.

💣 Pakistan’s Swift Retaliation: A Display of Power and Resolve

The Pakistan Armed Forces, particularly the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), responded with decisive force. PM Shehbaz Sharif praised the military for its professional and courageous action, revealing that five Indian fighter jets were downed, sending a powerful message to India and the world.

Despite India’s numerical advantage in conventional forces, Pakistan’s strategic response proved superior in execution. “Our military response was swift, calculated, and fearless,” Sharif noted. “We inflicted wounds that India will not forget easily.”

🧡 Honoring the Martyrs: National Pride and Grief

In a solemn segment of his speech, Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged the martyrdom of 26 Pakistani civilians, including women and children. He stated, “These aren’t just numbers. These are our people—innocent lives snatched away in a cowardly act of aggression.”

He added, “Every drop of the martyrs’ blood will be avenged, and their sacrifice will not go unanswered. The nation stands united in grief and resolve.”

🚨 India’s Justification Rejected: The Pahalgam Incident

India claimed the airstrikes were in response to an incident in Pahalgam (Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir). PM Shehbaz dismissed this justification as baseless, emphasizing that Pakistan had offered a joint investigation, which India refused.

“India’s aggression is a desperate attempt to shift focus from its brutalities in Kashmir,” Sharif stated, reaffirming that no military action can alter the region’s disputed status or suppress the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.

🧭 NSC Authorizes Strategic Response, Appeals to Global Community

The National Security Committee (NSC) met urgently after the attack and gave full authority to the armed forces to respond “at a time, place, and manner of their choosing.” The forum also highlighted that Indian strikes endangered regional air traffic, including commercial planes from Gulf nations.

The PM and NSC jointly called on the international community to hold India accountable for its aggression, warning that such provocations carry risks of regional escalation and instability.

🪖 National Unity and Military Bravery Applauded

Shehbaz Sharif expressed immense pride in the leadership and bravery of the Pakistan Armed Forces. “Once again, our heroes have proved that Pakistan will never compromise on its sovereignty,” he said. “We salute every soldier, pilot, and officer who stood up to aggression with unmatched courage.”

The PM concluded with a clear message: “India will pay for this. Every drop of martyrs’ blood will be avenged. We stand together as a nation, ready to defend every inch of our homeland.
