In a significant step towards boosting tourism and ensuring the safety of international travelers, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Tourism Department has introduced a fully online NOC system for foreign tourists. This new digital platform simplifies the process for foreign visitors looking to explore the province’s breathtaking landscapes and cultural heritage.
The Secretary of KP’s Department of Tourism, Culture, Archaeology, and Museums, Dr. Abdul Samad, officially launched the initiative, highlighting the ease and security it offers. Tourists holding a valid visit visa can now register effortlessly through the online portal developed by the KP Tourism and Culture Authority.
This user-friendly system replaces the lengthy and often complex traditional procedures with a smooth, modern interface. It enables tourists to obtain their No Objection Certificates (NOCs) without needing to visit government offices or go through multiple layers of approval manually.
According to Dr. Samad, the core objective behind this initiative is to enhance safety and improve accessibility for foreign travelers. By streamlining the registration process, the province aims to encourage more international tourists to visit its scenic valleys, historical landmarks, and adventure destinations.
The new online NOC system ensures that government authorities remain informed about foreign tourist movement, which helps in better coordination and safety management especially in remote areas that require special travel permissions.
Looking forward, the KP government plans to expand this service to include foreign mountaineers and trekkers. This move is particularly important given the province’s growing popularity as a hub for hiking, trekking, and adventure tourism.
The Online NOC system for foreign tourists is a welcome initiative in making Pakistan more tourist-friendly, accessible, and safe. It reflects a growing commitment by the KP government to modernize its tourism infrastructure and promote the region globally.
