Apple iPhone 16 Series in Pakistan Shocks Buyers with Fault

The launch of the Apple iPhone 16 Series in Pakistan was highly anticipated. Many buyers spent record-high amounts, especially on the iPhone 16 Pro Max, expecting unmatched quality. But instead of a smooth experience, they are facing a shocking fault that is leaving them angry and disappointed.

iPhone 16 Freezing Problem During Calls and Messages

One of the most reported issues is that the phone completely freezes when receiving calls or checking messages. During this time, the device becomes useless, and users cannot answer urgent calls or reply to texts.

A customer from Islamabad shared his frustration: “I bought the Pro Max thinking I was upgrading to the best in the world, but it freezes on me at the most critical moments. I feel cheated.”

Buyers Left Helpless with No Warranty Support

What makes the situation worse is the lack of support. Customers complain that vendors refuse responsibility, saying they only sell sealed imported sets. Even distributors offer little help, often suggesting factory resets or directing customers to the Apple helpline.

However, since Apple has no official presence in Pakistan, the helpline provides little assistance. Buyers are left stranded with phones worth more than Rs. 600,000 that do not work properly.

Reports from Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad

A survey across Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad revealed that dozens of users are facing this issue. Complaints are especially common at The Apple Shop in Star City Mall, Karachi. Buyers there say they have no proper solution, only excuses.

Is the Fault Linked to Network Providers?

Some reports suggest the freezing problem might be linked to local network providers. However, many users point out that the same SIMs work perfectly in older iPhone models, making the claim questionable.

International users have also reported similar issues. On Reddit, some iPhone 16 buyers said the phone freezes during calls only when the other person is also using an iPhone. This shows the issue is not limited to Pakistan.

Silence from Apple and PTA

So far, Apple has not given a clear response about this major fault. In Pakistan, frustrated buyers even reached out to the police and FIA but were directed to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

Despite collecting massive taxes on iPhones, PTA has remained silent. Consumers argue that as the custodian of the telecom sector, PTA should protect buyers from such unfair situations.

Final Thoughts

The Apple iPhone 16 Series in Pakistan has left many buyers disappointed. Spending such a huge amount on a flagship device only to face freezing issues is both frustrating and unfair. Unless Apple or PTA steps in with a proper solution, users will continue to suffer with devices that fail at the most important times.
