Pakistani actress and style icon Ayesha Omar is stepping into a brand-new role as the host of Lazawaal Ishq (Eternal Love), a groundbreaking dating reality show. This project is being hailed as the first-ever Urdu reality show about love for global audiences.
Adapted from the famous Turkish reality TV show Aşk Adası, Lazawaal Ishq will premiere on YouTube and bring a fresh experience for viewers who have long enjoyed international romance shows but never seen one created in Urdu.
For years, Pakistani audiences have followed global dating reality shows like The Bachelor and Love Island. But Lazawaal Ishq is the first opportunity for Urdu-speaking viewers to see their very own version of a romance-based competition show.
Eight participants — four men and four women — will live together in a luxurious villa by the Bosphorus in Istanbul. Every day of their lives will be filmed, and viewers will watch their bonds, rivalries, friendships, and romances unfold. The series will feature 100 episodes, giving audiences plenty of drama, excitement, and heartfelt moments.
Speaking exclusively from Istanbul, where she will spend five weeks filming, Ayesha Omar described the project as “a first of its kind for Pakistani and Urdu-speaking viewers worldwide.”
She added that the show includes Pakistani boys and girls as participants, and audiences can already spot them in the promo. “It’s all about love, and at the end, there will be a winning couple,” she shared. Omar also expressed her gratitude for being chosen as the Urdu-speaking host from among many candidates.
Much like its international counterparts, the show follows a competitive structure:
The teaser already reveals stunning visuals — from Ayesha Omar cruising on the Bosphorus to the participants arriving with suitcases, ready to test their destiny in love.
The Turkish version, Aşk Adası, has already been adapted into Persian (Eshghe Abadi) and Arabic (Qesma w Naseeb). With Lazawaal Ishq, Pakistani entertainment finally gets its own place on the global reality TV map.
The mix of Turkish landscapes, glossy production, and Pakistani contestants promises a show that combines romance, drama, and cultural identity. Just like Love Island became a summer favorite for the British public, Lazawaal Ishq is expected to become a must-watch for Urdu-speaking audiences worldwide.
Pakistani entertainment has often focused on dramas and films with scripted love stories. Lazawaal Ishq is different because it allows real people to share their journey of finding love, with all the surprises, emotions, and challenges that come with it.
With Ayesha Omar’s charm and strong screen presence, the show is set to attract attention not only in Pakistan but also among Urdu-speaking communities around the world.
