Kubra Aykut, a Turkish TikToker who gained significant attention for her viral “wedding without a groom” video, has tragically died after falling from the fifth floor of a luxury apartment in Istanbul, as reported by Türkiye Today.

Before her passing, Aykut had openly shared her struggles with weight loss on social media, stating in her last post, “I lose a kilogram every day. I urgently need to gain weight.”

With over a million followers on TikTok and 200,000 on Instagram, Kubra was candid about her battles with body image issues.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding her death are currently underway. A suicide note was discovered at the scene, revealing her personal struggles.

In the note, Aykut wrote, “I jumped off my own free will. Because I don’t want to live anymore. Take good care of Fistik,” which is believed to be her pet. She added, “I was good to everyone in my life, but I couldn’t be good to myself. In this life, be selfish. That way, you will be happy.”

Kubra further expressed, “I’ve been struggling for days, but no one noticed. I’m leaving because I love myself and want to think about myself for once.”

In light of her death, her final TikTok video, which featured her cleaning her apartment, has raised alarm among her followers.
