The Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan recently hosted a grand event in Lahore to honor the outstanding achievements of graduates from its ‘Bano Qabil’ program. This impactful initiative, which started in Karachi, has expanded to Lahore, empowering students with advanced skills in IT and various other fields.
The highlight of the ceremony, held at the Expo Center Lahore, was the distribution of free laptops to high-performing students, enabling them to kickstart their professional journeys. The event was graced by Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, the emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, as the chief guest.
Addressing the audience, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman shed light on Pakistan’s demographic advantage, with over 65% of the population being youth under the age of 30. He emphasized the critical role of the IT sector in bridging the employment gap and creating opportunities for the younger generation.
He stated, “Our youth are the backbone of Pakistan’s future. Programs like ‘Bano Qabil’ are essential to equipping them with skills in IT, freelancing, and e-commerce, enabling them to become job creators rather than job seekers.”
The ‘Bano Qabil’ program, launched in 2022, has already benefited over 50,000 students, with a vision to empower one million more in the next two years. Plans are underway to expand the program to underprivileged areas across Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Punjab, offering courses in freelancing, digital marketing, web development, and more.
This initiative is a beacon of hope for Pakistan’s youth, paving the way for economic growth and self-reliance.
