Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz reaffirmed the strong relationship between Pakistan and China during a ceremony marking the 75th National Day of the People’s Republic of China on Saturday.

In her speech, Maryam emphasized that the friendship between the two countries is rooted in mutual trust, respect, and a shared vision for a prosperous future. She expressed pride in celebrating China’s accomplishments, acknowledging them as an inspiration for other nations.

At the event, Maryam Nawaz met with Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren, offering warm wishes from the people of Punjab to the Chinese community and stressing the importance of strengthening bilateral relations.

Consul General Zhao praised the Punjab government’s public welfare initiatives and commended their efforts to serve citizens. The event was also attended by Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan and Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Mohammad Ahmad Khan, both of whom highlighted the need to further deepen ties with China.

The ceremony underscored the ongoing commitment to enhancing cooperation and friendship between the two nations.

Earlier, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt congratulations to the Chinese people and leadership on the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. During a National Day reception in Islamabad, President Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to collaborating with China for shared prosperity and global peace, while PM Shehbaz recalled the warm reception he received during his visit to China in June, marking the day as significant for both countries.
