Munawar Faruqui, winner of Bigg Boss 17 and host of Playground Season 4, is reportedly facing threats from the Bishnoi gang, prompting the Mumbai Police to bolster his security. On Monday, sources confirmed that additional protection has been provided to the comedian after increased concerns for his safety.
While a senior officer acknowledged that protection measures are in place, they have not officially linked the threat to any specific group. However, the Bishnoi gang is suspected to be behind the increased risks. This heightened security follows a recent incident in September when Munawar had to leave an event in Delhi under police escort after intelligence revealed a possible attack. During an investigation into the murder of businessman Nadir Shah, a detained shooter claimed to have been tracking Munawar’s location ahead of a match he was set to attend with social media figure Elvish Yadav.
In light of this, the Mumbai Police remain vigilant, prioritizing Munawar’s security amidst ongoing concerns.
Meanwhile, Bollywood megastar Salman Khan’s security has also been strengthened following the tragic murder of politician and close friend Baba Siddique. Mumbai police have deployed additional personnel to Salman’s residence, with officers confirming that every precaution is being taken to protect him and his family. Salman, visibly shaken, recently visited Siddique’s family to offer condolences. Allegations suggest the involvement of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in Siddique’s murder, and the Bishnoi group has previously issued threats against Salman, even demanding an apology for his involvement in the blackbuck poaching case.
