
Veteran broadcaster Ishrat Fatima has officially ended her long and historic journey with Radio Pakistan, closing a chapter that lasted more than 45 years. Her departure has touched the hearts of listeners across the country.
She announced her resignation during an emotional farewell message on Radio Pakistan News, where her voice trembled with pain and gratitude.

While addressing her audience, Ishrat Fatima thanked Radio Pakistan and her listeners sincerely. She expressed gratitude to her parents and the Creator for guiding her through a successful career.
She shared that saying goodbye after decades of service was not an easy choice. Despite the pain, she tried to keep her message respectful and dignified.
A day after her farewell, Ishrat Fatima released a 13-minute video on her YouTube channel, where she finally explained what led to her decision.
She revealed that although she remained dedicated and capable, she was repeatedly made to feel unwanted at her workplace. This emotional pressure slowly pushed her toward resignation.
Ishrat Fatima began her career in 1983, working in both radio and television. She shared that reading Urdu news was not just a job for her—it was her life’s passion.
She believed that as long as her voice stayed strong, she wanted to continue serving listeners with honesty and dedication.
With teary eyes, Ishrat Fatima explained how professional jealousy and negative behavior affected her deeply. She said she was blocked and sidelined even though she continued to perform her duties fairly.
She added that when people fail to compete through hard work, they sometimes choose harmful paths to push others out.

Ishrat Fatima shared that she waited patiently for the work environment to improve. Sadly, it never did. She felt her experience, seniority, and contribution were ignored.
She said if the organization had shown empathy or asked her to stay, she would have never left.
