President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif encourage the country and the Muslim Ummah to follow the teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) as a guiding light to overcome current challenges. Today, the nation celebrates Eid Milad-un-Nabi with religious zeal and fervour. They sent out different messages on the occasion of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (Sallalaho Aleyhe Wallyhe Wassalam), wishing the entire country a very happy and good 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal.
The President stated in his speech that humanity would find direction in the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) until the Day of Judgement.
According to Asif Ali Zardari, we must disseminate the lessons the Holy Prophet (SAWW) taught about love and compassion for all people. It’s critical to disseminate the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which uphold human rights, tolerance, and love, in today’s divided and oppressive world. He showed humility and respect to everyone, regardless of their religious beliefs. President Zardari said, “Embracing this spirit, we must promote global brotherhood, justice, and love.”
He declared that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) would always be a source of wisdom, and that the 12th of Rabiul Awwal is a reminder of a message that changed the darkness into a lighthouse. He underlined that the Prophet (PBUH) thought the noblest of humanity were those who helped others.
Therefore, we must spread the love and compassion that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) taught humanity on this auspicious occasion. “From looking after the sick to supporting the impoverished and caring for orphans, his life is an example of service to humanity,” he said. The president urged everyone to apply the lessons of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to their everyday life and dedicate the day to the betterment of humanity. In addition, he asked Allah Almighty for Pakistan’s development and peace as well as the fortitude to uphold the precepts of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated in his speech that the Prophet Muhammad’s (SAWW) auspicious life, virtuous nature, and model behaviour serve as a lighthouse for all of humanity. In observance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the day started with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital. Provincial capitals fired 21-gun salutes in observance of the event. A disciplined Pakistan Army unit in Lahore fired the 21-gun salute while soldiers chanted “Takbeer, Allahu Akbar,” evoking a resounding chorus of “Allahu Akbar.”
Strict security protocols were enforced throughout the event. Special prayers were said after the Fajr prayers for the advancement of Islam as well as for the welfare, harmony, progress, and unity of the nation and the Muslim Ummah. There will be celebrations around the nation on Eid Milad-un-Nabi (peace be upon him).
