APPLE’S NEXT BIG THING: SMART DISPLAY WITH HOMEOS SET FOR 2025 LAUNCH!

Apple is gearing up to re-enter the smart home market, with reports indicating the company could launch a smart display as early as 2025.
According to Bloomberg, this device is expected to run on a new operating system called “homeOS,” which is based on Apple TV’s tvOS, much like the software behind the HomePod.
The display is anticipated to support popular Apple apps, including Calendar, Notes, and Home, and may feature a prototype equipped with magnets for wall mounting. It could also introduce Apple Intelligence, a feature currently missing from the HomePod lineup.
Rumors about an Apple smart home display have circulated for some time, with early speculations ranging from a screen-equipped HomePod to more futuristic concepts, like a robotic arm that swivels during video calls.
Recent leaks, however, suggest the device will be simpler, possibly resembling a square-shaped “HomeAccessory” with gesture controls, as reported by 9to5Mac.
Additionally, MacRumors has spotted code references to homeOS, further fueling speculation.
Apple’s upcoming display is expected to offer a more streamlined solution for smart home control, improving on the somewhat cumbersome experience of using an iPad for this purpose. While the exact launch date remains unclear, the release seems imminent.
