Pakistani entertainment is always abuzz with discussions about actors, performances, and drama serials that keep audiences engaged. The latest topic stirring conversations is veteran actress Sadia Imam’s critique of Ushna Shah’s acting in the popular drama Aye Ishq E Junoon.

Sadia Imam, a name synonymous with talent and versatility in the Pakistani drama industry, has delivered countless stellar performances in hits like Jab Jab Dil Miley, Colony 52, Dorhi, Choti Si Kahani, and Aangan Bhar Chandni. Known for her impeccable comic timing in Mai Aur Tum and as a top-tier model, her opinions in the entertainment industry are taken seriously.
Recently, in a discussion on the talk show Kya Drama Hai, hosted by Mukarram Kaleem alongside industry veterans Marina Khan and Nadia Khan, Sadia Imam did not hold back while sharing her thoughts on Ushna Shah’s performance.
While discussing Aye Ishq E Junoon, which also stars Sheheryar Munawar and Shuja Asad, Sadia expressed concerns about Ushna’s portrayal of her character.
She commented:
“I didn’t like Ushna Shah’s scene here. It could have been done in a more subtle way. Also, from where did she get so many clothes? Things are not making sense. I once loved her acting in a drama, in which Juvaria Abbasi was also with her. She did brilliant acting in that drama. Ushna was a good actor, I don’t know what happened to her. Overall, I liked the drama serial, I can say that it is a good drama.”
Sadia’s critique has sparked widespread debate, with many agreeing that Ushna’s performance in Aye Ishq E Junoon lacks the depth and emotional nuance she once showcased in previous roles. Some fans believe that her dialogue delivery and expressions feel exaggerated, while others argue that the role itself may not be well-suited to her acting style.

Following Sadia’s remarks, social media platforms have been buzzing with discussions. While many agree with her assessment, others feel the criticism is unwarranted. Some fans appreciate Ushna’s efforts in the drama and believe that her role requires a certain level of intensity.

It’s worth noting that Sadia Imam’s critique wasn’t intended as a harsh attack—rather, it was constructive feedback that highlighted areas where Ushna Shah could improve. The veteran actress also acknowledged Ushna’s previous stellar performances, proving that she isn’t dismissing her talent outright.
