In a heartbreaking turn of events, actress and model Humaira Asghar was found dead in her Karachi apartment, nearly nine months after she passed away. The tragic news sent shockwaves across the country, especially as the initial reports hinted that her family had refused to claim her body. In a recent development, her parents have broken their silence and shared their side of the story in an exclusive interview with Lahore Rang.
Dr. Asghar, Humaira’s father, along with her mother, opened up about their daughter’s life and mysterious death. According to her father, Humaira was always passionate about the arts. She graduated from the National College of Arts (NCA) and moved to Karachi seven years ago to pursue a career in showbiz with his full support.
Her mother recalled her last conversation with Humaira in August of the previous year. Humaira had called, saying her SIM cards were being blocked and that she needed help. Unfortunately, she did not clarify what kind of help she required, and after that, all contact with her ceased. The family admitted that they couldn’t do much since they didn’t know anyone in Karachi and had no way to check on her.
Contrary to public rumors, Dr. Asghar clarified that he never refused to claim his daughter’s body. Being a doctor himself, he insisted on a post-mortem before any further steps could be taken, hinting that foul play might be involved in her death.
He also dismissed speculations about property disputes, saying Humaira never demanded her share and that she would never do “aisi kameeni baat.” He added that she had enough money and found it hard to believe she wouldn’t pay her rent, raising even more questions about what might have really happened.
This emotional and revealing interview has not only cleared many misconceptions but also brought to light the deep pain and confusion the family is enduring. As investigations continue, the public hopes that Humaira’s tragic end receives the justice and closure it deserves.
