The Deedar fraud case has taken a dramatic turn as Punjabi stage and film actress Deedar and her husband Jahanzeb find themselves at the center of a major investigation involving alleged fraud and human smuggling.
According to reports, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested Jahanzeb in Lahore after accusations surfaced that he had been collecting hefty sums from individuals by promising to arrange overseas settlements. Authorities claim the operation may have deceived multiple victims over time.

Sources within the FIA revealed that the arrest did not go smoothly. During the raid, Jahanzeb allegedly resisted officials, while several guards reportedly attempted to interfere with the operation. The situation escalated quickly before law enforcement managed to take him into custody.
Investigators further allege that the Deedar fraud case extends beyond a single individual. Officials suspect that Deedar may have played a role in facilitating the operation, with claims that offices in Lahore and Islamabad’s G-11 sector were used to run the network.
As the investigation deepens, Deedar has reportedly gone out of public sight, with authorities actively searching for her. Known in the entertainment industry as Sobia Idress, the actress has long been associated with Punjabi stage dramas and films. She is also the sister of fellow performer Nargis, and the duo has shared screen space in the past.

Officials estimate that the accused may have generated nearly Rs250 million through the alleged scheme, making the Deedar fraud case one of the more significant financial crime investigations in recent months. Jahanzeb was reportedly already wanted by the FIA’s Islamabad zone before his arrest.
Meanwhile, several affected individuals have come forward, with some even submitting petitions to higher authorities, urging strict action against those involved.
