MISHI KHAN CRITICIZES FAWAD KHAN FOR CASTING BOLLYWOOD’S NEWCOMERS OVER PAKISTANI STARS

Former Pakistani actress Mishi Khan recently criticized Fawad Khan for his decision to work with Indian actress Vaani Kapoor in their upcoming film Abir Gulal. Set to release in late 2025 or early 2026, the movie’s filming is underway in London. While fans are thrilled about Fawad’s return to Bollywood, Mishi expressed her disappointment on Instagram, noting it’s “unfortunate” that Fawad passes up projects with prominent Pakistani actresses for a collaboration with Vaani, who is less well-known.

This film marks Fawad’s first Bollywood project since Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016, as Pakistani artists faced restrictions in India following political tensions.

Directed by Aarti S. Bagdi, Abir Gulal follows two characters whose paths to healing cross unexpectedly, leading to an unplanned romance. Producers shared their excitement, expecting Fawad and Vaani’s on-screen chemistry to captivate viewers. The cast is rumored to include Malaika Arora and Ridhi Dogra, who are set to join the shoot soon.
