Riz Ahmed is young Pakistani-British actor, who is gluing viewers to his international TV series “The Night Of” on HBO. Even King Khan of Bollywood said he was hooked onto the gripping storyline of “The Night Of”. It is a highly addictive murder mystery that has garnered a ton of critical acclaim. So it pretty much falls under the ‘must watch list’ of those who have not yet seen it. It premiered on July 10, 2016.

Here is a quick look at the story line for you to get an idea:

After a night of partying with a female stranger, a man wakes up to find her stabbed to death and is charged with her murder.

Nasir “Naz” Khan (Riz Ahmed) is a naive Pakistani-American college student living in Queens, New York. One night to attend a party Naz takes away his father’s cab while the parents were asleep. On the way he somehow stops and picks up a young woman, Andrea, who simply wanted cab service and later finds out that the passenger doesn’t exactly have a particular destination to reach. Naz was of the mind that he would drop her at her destination and make it to the party, when he picked her up but that could not happen.

They make few stops on the street, spend a little time together on a beach and head to the girl’s place to engage in sex and drugs. Later Naz wakes up in the house, on his way out, he is shocked to see Andrea dead in the bloody bed.

The mystery and the blind spot that drives the show ahead is Naz having no recollection of the course of events that happened in the house. What ensues further is a series of killer drama. Watch the full show on HBO.
