PANTENE HUM BRIDAL COUTURE WEEK 2021 LAHORE DAY 2

After successfully adhering to strict COVID19 SOPs and presenting a glamorous showcase on Day One, Day Two of the bridal extravaganza continued on the same line of glamour, glitz and bridal statements. As always PHBCW left its audience stunned with its majestic stage, uniquely set for one of a kind fashion show.

Show One on Day Two of the bridal extravaganza kicked off withThe House of Arsalan Iqbal’sMata-e -Jaan (Sweetheart) Ceremonial which was inspired by the 11th century Muslim culture of Granada, followed by Ayesha Rehman’s Peony Dreams. Her collection incorporated timeless styles with modern cuts and applications.The next showcasewas byKarismash by Ahson Shoaib with hisDastaan-e-Mohabbatcollection whichwas based on the endless tales and endeavours of love and pain. The colour palette ranged from rustic tones to royal reds encompassing the true shades of love. Show One of Day Two came to a close with Tabya’s Khaas-Mahal. Her collection was a tribute to our diverse heritage from the Mughal Era and the artisans that have preserved the treasures of the craftsmanship for generations to come.

Show Two started with the debutant Kashee’s collectionParihaan with beautiful patterns of embroidery, embellishments and motifs. This was followed by a special segment titled The Gentlemen’s Club featuring capsule collections of J., Almirah and Diner’s. Day Two of PHBCW came to an end withUmsha by Uzma Babar’s Zeenat which embodied the poise, regality and grace a bride of today possesses. Her collection encompassed all the qualities, colours and festivities that come with the wedding season in Pakistan,

Day two of the three-day bridal extravaganza had an amazing line up of celebrities walking for the designers – ace designer Munib Nawaz walked the ramp for The House of Arsalan Iqbal, and the stunning Ayesha Omer graced the runway for Faiza Rehman. Hira Mani showstopped for Karismash by Ahson Shoaib, while the gorgeous Mawra Hocane and Ameer Gilani walked for Tabya Official. The debutant Kashee had an array of artists walking down the ramp for the brand’s first showcase including Sana Fakhar, Fizza Ali, Shaista Lodhi, Sahiba, Alizeh Shah and Urwa Hocane. The very charming Aijaz Aslam walked the ramp for J., Umsha by Uzma Babar brought Pakistan television’s most followed and loved artists Imran Ashraf and Yumna Zaidi to close the show for her.

Hair and makeup for the show is being done by N-Pro and N-Gents. All public relations operations and media liaison is being carried out by the in-house team of HUM Network Limited in collaboration with Moiz Kazmi and his team at MK Digital PR, along with show production, direction, choreography and execution by the Special Projects &Events team at HUM Network Limited.

It gives me great pride to see how the Bridal Couture Week has evolved over the past decade, and though the Covid pandemic has brought such activities to a standstill we are presenting the show with all the SOPs intact, to bring normalcy to everyday life. HBCW has become a benchmark of bridal fashion season, a platform where emerging designers get an opportunity to showcase alongside their illustrious peers. Apart from that the exposure given to all participants via HUM Network’s global reach, the response that the designers receive is unsurpassed thus making it not only a platform for creative expression but also a highly viable one from a business standpoint.

‘Mata-e -Jaan (Sweetheart) Ceremonial’

The House of Arsalan Iqbal’s festive couture collection ‘Mata-e -Jaan (Sweetheart) Ceremonial’ is inspired by the 11th century Muslim culture of Granada. The collection is deeply emotive, thoughtful and soulful buoyed by the soul mates’ profound emotional connection and a sense of true eternal love.

The collection features 14 festive menswear outfits including sleek jackets, debonair suits and elegant sherwanis crafted with pure, meticulously hand- woven intricately-embedded textural fabric with stunning hues including regal blue, classic turquoise, dramatic black, stunning gold and mesmerizing mahogany.The collection also showcases four stunning women’s wear outfits such as a turquoise and gold mehndi occasionwear ensemble, a buoyant black and magenta choli lehnga, a formal midnight-blue gown and an exquisite grey and gold bridal ensemble.

Just as the name suggests, thecollection is based on the endless tales andendeavours of love and pain. The rustic fragrance of HeerRanjha, SohniMahiwaal, Laila Majnurising from the lands of Asia, intertwined with melancholy of fate bringing eternal memory to the tales is what the brand is set to showcase. The colour palette ranges from rustic tones to royal reds encompassing the true shades of love.

Khaas – Mahal

Tabya’s BCW collection is a tribute to our diverse heritage from the Mughal Era and the artisans that have preserved the treasures of the craftsmanship for generations to come. The collection is a trove of traditional celestial patterns influenced with modern flares, argyles and handcrafted embellishments from the journey of our historical milieu.

Kashee’s PHBCW debut bridal collection has a wide range of hand embroidered bridal wear with beautiful patterns of embroidery, embellishments, motifsand intricate dabka, kora, pearl work, diamantes, naqshi, sheesha work. The collection has a diverse colour palette including red, yellow, green, orange, black, white, maroon, and purple.

The Gentlemen’s Club

Featuring the creations of J., Almirah and Diner’s, this year, PHBCW introduces The Gentleman’s Club with a capsule collection of grooms’ wear and formals especially curated for the men of the 21st century.
