PAK-SWISS TRADE RELATIONS A TOP PRIORITY, SAYS ENVOY

ISLAMABAD:
Swiss Ambassador to Pakistan, George Steiner, emphasized on Thursday that enhancing bilateral trade and deepening economic cooperation between Switzerland and Pakistan is his top priority. He noted that these efforts would not only strengthen the relationship between the two nations but also bring substantial economic growth and prosperity to their people.
Speaking at the launch event for Swiss homeopathic medicines in Pakistan, Steiner highlighted the numerous opportunities for collaboration across various sectors, including tourism, healthcare, and agriculture, as outlined in a press release. He praised the existing successful partnerships between Swiss and Pakistani companies and expressed optimism about future Swiss investments, which could tap into Pakistan’s vast population of 25 million and its diverse industries.
The ambassador further mentioned that Switzerland is currently the third-largest direct investor in Pakistan and maintains strong trade relations with the country. He encouraged both nations to continue expanding their trade and investment ties for mutual benefit.
