Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, declared that they will overcome every obstacle to reach Rawalpindi.
In a defiant message to the Punjab government, he stated, “Do whatever you can; we are not afraid,” signaling their readiness to face any challenge.
According to Express News, Gandapur’s convoy has reached Mardan, where he addressed the media, claiming, “Something big is about to happen.” He also highlighted the imposition of Section 804 in Pakistan, affirming, “We will overcome every obstacle to get to Rawalpindi; let’s see what happens next.”
He further urged the Punjab government to perform its duties, reiterating their resolve, “Whatever the Punjab government can do, let it do; we are not afraid.”
Meanwhile, the Rawalpindi administration has completely shut down the city, blocking PTI’s planned protest at Liaquat Bagh by placing containers. This blockade has caused significant inconvenience to residents as no vehicles are being allowed into the city.
Thousands of police personnel have been deployed across various locations to ensure the enforcement of Section 144, which bans public gatherings, protests, or the display of weapons. In response, the district administration has erected barriers, and law enforcement agencies maintain a strong presence throughout the city.
Liaquat Bagh has been fully sealed, and as part of the preventive measures, the metro bus service has also been partially suspended.
