Young Pakistani Martial Artist Breaks Guinness World Record, and Pakistan to Host U23 World Squash Championship

Pakistan continues to shine on the global sports stage, with two thrilling developments that bring pride to the nation. Six-year-old Mohammad Ibrahim, a martial arts prodigy from Karachi, has etched his name in history by setting a Guinness World Record, while the country gears up to host the inaugural U23 World Squash Championship in 2025.

Mohammad Ibrahim: The World’s Youngest Martial Arts Record Holder

At just six years old, Mohammad Ibrahim has become the youngest martial artist in the world to achieve a Guinness World Record. In an astonishing display of skill, Ibrahim opened 45 bottle caps in one minute using martial arts kicks, surpassing the previous record of 40 bottle caps.

Family Legacy of Excellence

Ibrahim is the son of Rashid Naseem, Pakistan’s most decorated martial arts master, who holds numerous Guinness World Records himself. In fact, the entire Naseem family is a testament to perseverance and talent, with multiple members—including Rashid’s 7-year-old daughter—earning their places in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Rashid Naseem shared his pride, stating:

“This journey has been incredibly challenging without government support, but we continue to train our students and bring honour to Pakistan. So far, 16 of my students have registered their names in the Guinness World Records.”

Celebration of Achievement

The Pakistan Academy of Martial Arts held a ceremony to honor Ibrahim’s incredible feat, attended by several martial arts masters. Guinness World Records officially recognized this achievement in a newly established category.

Ibrahim, now a global sensation, expressed his desire to be recognized by the President, Prime Minister, and Governor of Sindh. His accomplishment not only adds to Pakistan’s growing reputation in martial arts but also inspires countless young athletes to dream big.

Pakistan to Host First-Ever U23 World Squash Championship

In another monumental achievement, Pakistan will host the inaugural U23 World Squash Championship in 2025. Organized by the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF), this landmark event will take place from April 6-10, 2025, and promises to be a thrilling showcase of young talent.

Details of the Championship
  • Categories: Men’s and Women’s Singles
  • Participants: 32 players in each category
  • Prize Money: $60,000

This championship aims to bridge the gap between the World Junior Squash Championships and senior-level events, offering a vital platform for emerging talent to shine on the global stage.

Global Recognition

William Louis-Marie, CEO of the World Squash Federation, lauded the event, stating:

“The WSF U23 World Squash Championship represents a great development for the global squash community. It will allow upcoming players to test their skills and gain invaluable experience.”

A Bright Future for Pakistani Sports
