According to a report by Gulf News, the airport expects a daily average of 274,000 travelers during this time, with December 20 projected to be the busiest day. Nearly 296,000 passengers are expected to arrive and depart on that day alone. The weekend from December 20 to 22 will witness a staggering total of around 880,000 passengers.

Out of the estimated total traffic, 1.7 million passengers will arrive in Dubai, while 1.5 million passengers will depart, further solidifying Dubai’s reputation as a global travel hub.

For passengers flying with Emirates, a range of check-in services, including home check-in, early check-in, and city check-in, are available to save time at the airport. For those traveling with other airlines, arriving at least three hours before departure is strongly recommended.

To expedite security checks, place metal items and electronics in your hand luggage and adhere to the regulations for liquids, aerosols, and gels (LAGs).

• Carry portable electronic devices, power banks, and spare batteries in your hand luggage rather than checked luggage.

Families traveling with children aged 12 and above can utilize Dubai’s Smart Gates to speed up passport control.

4. Leverage the Dubai Metro

For easy access to Terminals 1 and 3, opt for the Dubai Metro and avoid road congestion during peak hours. Note that only passengers will be allowed inside the terminals during busy periods.
