Rising Pakistani star Fajr Sheikh has been captivating audiences on screen, but her off-screen romance sounds straight out of a prime-time drama script. Having made a smooth transition from modeling to acting, Fajr first caught the public eye with her debut role in Betiyaan. She quickly cemented her spot in the television industry with standout performances in Hum TV’s hit serial Qarz-e-Jaan and the recently concluded Green Entertainment show Aik Mohabbat Aur.
Beyond her flourishing television career, the actress happily balances her professional life with being a homemaker. During a guest appearance on Nadia Khan’s popular morning talk show Rise and Shine, Fajr treated fans to heartwarming details about her personal life, revealing that she is married to director Seraj Us Salikin the creative force currently directing ARY Digital’s Mein Tera.

Unfiltered and candid, Fajr shared how their love story began, admitting that she was actually the one to pop the initial question over a casual cup of tea.
“I proposed to him first. We went out for tea, and there I expressed my feelings to him. He took his time and didn’t confess his feelings right there.” — Fajr Sheikh
Rather than responding with a dramatic romance-novel declaration over tea, Seraj kept quiet in the moment. However, his actions spoke far louder than words. Much to Fajr’s utter surprise, he skipped the prolonged courtship phase entirely and sent his parents to her home with a formal marriage proposal.

Recalling her initial shock at the unexpected turn of events, Fajr laughed as she remembered confronting her now-husband about skipping a direct romantic reply. Seraj calmly reassured her that their connection was already an unwritten understanding, making an official confession unnecessary.
“I sometimes tease him now, saying, ‘You didn’t propose to me,’ but he is a shy person,” Fajr shared fondly on the show. She added that his reserved nature is paired with a deeply affectionate side: “The thing I love about him is that he is very caring and loving towards his family.”
Today, the creative powerhouse couple continues to balance their respective television projects while building a quiet, grounded domestic life together.
