“Once, I was at the passport office, and these two women were in the line near me. They had just watched Bajrangi Bhaijaan. One of them looks at me and says to the other, ‘Look! There’s that man from the film we saw last night!’”

Saleem, though somewhat amused by the encounter, was clearly not thrilled by the lack of recognition. “They didn’t recognise Saleem Mairaj standing right in front of them, but they definitely thought they saw Nawazuddin Siddiqui!” he remarked with a dry sense of humor.

While these comparisons might be flattering for some, Saleem Mairaj made it clear that he doesn’t quite understand why people continue to draw parallels between him and Nawazuddin.
