When it comes to small-screen charisma, few star personalities command an audience quite like Bollywood megastar Salman Khan. Proving once again that his TV dominance remains unmatched, the veteran actor has comfortably topped a recent Variety India audience poll, which asked viewers to vote for their ultimate favorite reality show host.

Khan left competing television hosts far behind, securing a massive victory across multiple social media platforms.

A Sweeping Victory Across Social Platforms

The Variety India poll highlighted Khan’s overwhelming popularity on both Instagram and YouTube, pitted against prominent television personalities like Rohit Shetty, Karan Johar, Farah Khan, and Riteish Deshmukh.

• Instagram Results: Khan claimed a staggering 79% of the total vote. Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 host Rohit Shetty finished in second place with 19%. Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa co-hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh collectively earned 2%, while The Traitors Season 2 host Karan Johar brought up the rear with 1%.
• YouTube Results: The gap narrowed slightly, but Khan still maintained a dominant lead with 64% of the votes. Rohit Shetty held steady in second place at 19%, Karan Johar captured 10%, and the duo of Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh shared the remaining 8%.

Over 15 Years of Small-Screen Stardom

Salman Khan’s strong showing comes as no surprise to long-time reality television followers. The star currently hosts Bigg Boss Season 20, continuing a legacy that began when he first stepped into the role during the show’s fourth season in 2010. His signature style during the weekly Weekend Ka Vaar episodes remains a key rating driver for the long-running franchise.

Alongside his television commitments, Khan maintains a busy cinematic schedule. He recently headlined the war drama Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, focused on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash, which hit theaters on August 14, 2026 (retitled from Battle of Galwan). Earlier this year, he also starred alongside Rashmika Mandanna in the action feature Sikandar.
