As each quarter passes by, talented entrepreneurs and new brands make their appearance with unique ideas, products, concepts, services and much more. Team Brides & You was on the lookout and here’s what made it to our Hottest Picks list:
Bamboo Union:
The latest entrant to take the Lahore food scene by storm is a pan-Asian cuisine restaurant serving quality Asian delicacies. Located in the hub of Lahore in Gulberg, opposite Mall One, the high-end eatery has everything to offer- interior, ambiance and variety full menu. Our personal favourite is the Thai Red Curry cooked to perfection with the perfect hint of spices. From the comforting soups to the crispy Jumbo Prawns to the delicious Beef Chilli Dry to almost everything on the main menu- nothing disappoints. The only disadvantage is the long waiting periods. Since the restaurant can only accommodate 60 to 70 people, the place is always full.
Zhoosh:
Pakistan’s first premium eyelash brand has launched and it caught our attention. The handcrafted mink lashes give a natural and feathery feel making them the most natural looking lashes available. Extremely comfortable to use, they are easily applicable and do not put too much weight on the eyes. Unlike eyelashes from most of the other brands, these can be re used for up to 25 times. For all those who want to use eyelashes without giving their eyes a heavy made up look, this is incredible to apply. They offer free delivery on orders more than Rs. 2000. It is the latest ‘it’ thing being used by all the leading salons in all major cities.
Ghar Par:
Lahori Ladies, we have some great news for all of you. Ever thought of having your own beauty parlour at home? Well, Ghar Par provides just that. It is an enterprise that provides convenient and professional at-home beauty services to its clients who can book by logging on the website or installing an app on the phone. It provides services like blow dry, waxing, manicure, pedicure, facial and massage. And that is not all- Ghar Par also provides package deals that meet the demands of its clients. It is your one stop beauty solution offering all kinds of hygienic and professional services at your doorstep. Now your emergency blow dry is just a click away!
Rice Bowl:
Since its launch at Lahore’s latest hangout spot at Mall One plaza on Main Boulevard, the restaurant has received raving reviews. Always busy, the cozy space is a Chinese food lover’s dream providing a simple menu yet fun to order. A variety of prawn, chicken or beef dishes are available that come with a choice of two mains, either noodles or rice. Each dish has a unique, authentic flavour but our favourite is the dragon fire chicken that truly lives up to its name. Extremely fiery and tangy, it is highly recommended for people who like their food spicy. The portions are also generous, more than enough for one person and prices are reasonable, costing approximately Rs.1000 per person. The restaurant is a classic and worth the try!
The local eatery:
This small, urban desi food restaurant opened its doors in Y block Defence and the food is absolutely divine. For starters, their cheese kachori that tastes like jalapeno cheese balls melt in the mouth, tantalizing the taste buds with every bite. Their specialty is the beef tawa chaamp that is exceptionally well marinated, juicy and cooked to perfection. Very few restaurants in Lahore offer quality beef dishes and Local Eatery’s house signature is one of them. In fact, the owner claims of having clients trying this dish once and coming back for it again. The naan basket comes piping hot and for sides, a variety of different chutneys are served with the food. A little on the pricey side though, the restaurant is definitely worth checking out.
Fat Jackets:
When the media saw renowned supermodel Gigi Hadid come out of the LA airport in a bomber jacket that had Zayn written at the back and that too in Urdu, the news quickly spread like wild fire. Pictures of this new style were posted everywhere and it soon became a fashion statement. Pakistanis were quick to catch up and a small company known as Fat Jackets launched to sell customized jackets that write names at the back in both Urdu and English. Their varsity jacket costs Rs. 1850 and the bomber is Rs. 3250.
