GITEX GLOBAL, the world’s largest tech and startup event, opens today for its 44th edition, set to reshape the digital economy and AI landscape under the theme “Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy.” Bringing together tech enterprises, governments, investors, experts, and academic institutions, this event emphasizes collaborative innovation on a global scale.
In tandem with GITEX, the Expand North Star event, hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, runs from October 13-16 at Dubai Harbour, marking the world’s largest startup and investment gathering. Pakistan has been named “Tech Destination of the Year,” underscoring the global reach and influence of this event.
With over 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 startups, and 1,200 investors from more than 180 countries, the UAE is showcasing the next generation of AI technologies. Participation at GITEX GLOBAL 2024 has increased by nearly 40%, highlighting the ambitions of emerging digital economies. This year’s central focus is the expanding AI economy, projected by Fortune Business Insights to reach $621 billion in 2024 and grow to $2.7 trillion by 2032. GITEX will feature 3,500 enterprises presenting advancements in AI, IoT, data, and cloud technology.
