Celebrating Excellence: IoBM’s 27th Convocation Highlights Academic Brilliance

KARACHI: A momentous day unfolded as the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) held its 27th convocation, celebrating the achievements of 1,591 graduates who received degrees across diverse disciplines. This milestone event marked a significant chapter in the lives of students, parents, and faculty alike.

Honoring Exceptional Talent

Among the graduating class, 24 exemplary students were honored with gold medals, while 44 earned merit certificates for their outstanding academic performance. Degrees were conferred in programs ranging from BBA and BS to MBA, MS, MPhil, and PhD, reflecting the institute’s broad academic spectrum.

The event featured prominent dignitaries who shared their wisdom and words of encouragement:

  • Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, the chief guest, highlighted the unwavering support of parents in the students’ journey from their first day of school to their graduation. He applauded the vision of IoBM’s late founder, Shahjehan Syed Karim, and encouraged graduates to raise their voices, take initiative, and contribute to a brighter future.
  • Former caretaker minister Dr. Gohar Ejaz emphasized the exclusivity of the graduates’ achievement, noting their representation of less than one percent of all graduates.   • IoBM President Talib Karim presented a comprehensive progress report, outlining the institute’s strides toward AACSB accreditation, global partnerships for alumni, and technological advancements in the curriculum. He also highlighted the contributions of the Center for Islamic Business and Finance in aligning with government developmental goals.
  • IoBM Chancellor Bashir Janmohammad encouraged graduates to respect their parents, dream big, and cultivate entrepreneurial skills to add value to their lives and careers. He acknowledged the critical role parents play in achieving milestones like this.
