The World Punjabi Congress (WPC) has launched the 34th International Conference on Sufi Tradition, a remarkable event exploring the enduring legacy of Sufism from Baba Farid to Ghulam Farid. The conference, held in Lahore, brings together over 100 international delegates from India, Canada, Australia, England, and Japan, solidifying its significance as a platform for cultural and spiritual exchange.
The conference was inaugurated by WPC Chairman Fakhar Zaman, who warmly welcomed participants and reaffirmed his dedication to organizing future events that highlight the cultural and spiritual essence of Punjab and Sufi traditions.
Cross-Border Collaboration
Dr. Deepak Manmohan Singh, President of the WPC Indian Chapter, and Sehajpreet Singh Mangat, Vice President & Coordinator of the Indian Chapter, praised Fakhar Zaman’s efforts. They also announced plans to host the next edition of the conference in India, fostering greater ties between the two nations.

Prominent speakers, including Gubhajan Singh Gill, Dr. Sughra Sadaf, and Baba Najmi, called for the establishment of the first-ever Punjabi University in Lahore and advocated for teaching Punjabi at the primary school level.
